IC Nuclear Industry and ARC Clean Technology Join Forces to Develop and Deploy Next-Generation Nuclear Reactors

IC Nükleer ve Endüstri, a subsidiary of IC Holding, has entered into a strategic partnership with ARC Clean Technology (ARC), one of the leading developers of advanced Small Modular Reactor (aSMR) technology, widely regarded as the future of the nuclear energy sector. As part of the collaboration, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop and deploy a Generation IV sodium-cooled nuclear reactor in Türkiye and across the region.

The partnership supports IC Nükleer ve Endüstri’s role in the National Nuclear Reactor Development Project, announced by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, while establishing a comprehensive framework for the advancement of next-generation nuclear technologies in Türkiye. The agreement also covers joint technical, economic, and regulatory feasibility studies for the deployment of Generation IV reactors in the country, as well as the development of a long-term commercialization and industrialization roadmap for advanced nuclear technologies.

Under the agreement, IC Nükleer ve Endüstri will lead the adaptation of the reactor design, engineering development, and local integration activities in line with Türkiye’s energy infrastructure and industrial priorities. In parallel, the partners aim to position Türkiye as a regional hub for advanced nuclear solutions by developing a Türkiye-based commercialization strategy that will support broader deployment across neighboring markets.
